|Q. Our furnace is much older & we want to lower our
energy bills. What would you recommend?
A. Of course, the most inexpensive decision would be to simply replace the insulation, however it may not be the most cost effective. You should always consider the age of the home, the efficiency of the furnace and the amount of insulation currently in the furnace is also important. The average lifespan of a furnace is between 10-15 years. Once it begins to age it begins to lose efficiency. Something else to consider, if you upgrade the insulation of the home at the time you purchase a new furnace you may not only be able to purchase a smaller, more cost effective furnace, but ultimately you should see a dramatic change in your energy costs!

A. There are many factors, which contribute to the cause for difference in energy between two different households so the possibility of getting an accurate interpretation is highly unlikely. A. It is recommended to inspect your filters at least once a month. Cleaning and replacement should be done depending on the amount of usage. In able to maintain maximum efficiency of your heating and cooling system, the "golden rule" to replacement is the cleaner the better!
||Q. What does the term “SEER” rating mean?
A. SEER is an acronym that stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. An air conditioner's SEER rating tells you how efficient the unit is utilizing electricity. A unit manufactured prior to 1992 had a SEER rating of 6.0. In 1992 the government set forth a measurement of minimum SEER rating standards which must be 10.0. Q. What exactly is an air to air heat pump,|
including its function and benefit?
A. Basically an air to air heat pump is an air conditioner with the capability of reversing it’s cycle in able to provide heating in the wintertime and cooling in the summer months, Their "switching" mechanism is designed to remove the heat from the outside air and bring it indoors.
